
Public Service Employees Credit Union was established
In 1938, the world was in turmoil, uncertainty filled the air. A group of forward-thinking employees from the Public Service Company of Colorado, now Xcel Energy, took decisive action to safeguard our financial future. They banded together and filed a charter with the state as Public Service Employees Credit Union. The minimum deposit was $5 per member and initial deposits were kept in an old shoebox.
